Thought I would share the files and settings that I gave Joe which he used to great effect in his recent Friday Render. Very Happy

Example ArtiCAD Render window:

It uses two images one for the diffuse and the other for the reflection map for a bit of reflection variation for a bit more realism Very Happy

Material Settings:

I have uploaded to Dropbox the two image files 3MB each - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Thanks Daz, that detail is unreal.
Should we be doing this for all our worktops? I use a lot of Silestone and i find that the detail never comes through unless i'm using something with a heavy vein. Lagoon which we use a lot of looks like a white top when rendered.

Only if you or the customer requires it and especially a close up. Having quality images is half the battle and making sure they look seamless and convincing.

Silestone does not shine equally over the granite particle, resin, mirror chips etc compared to many Granites.

ArtiCAD are adding the ability to Load and Export entire material libraries for V21, so if you made a custom library you can export it (zips all textures & finishes up too) and transfer it to people. Will be able to make a community area for material libraries! Will be perfect for things like this
