Site measuring
Tue Dec 05, 2017 1:24 pm
I'm just curious as to how others measure their projects. I must admit I'm an old fogey, Stanley Fatmax, A4 pad and a pen! I did try a hand held laser once but found many occasions when I still needed my tape ...so why carry both. I was just wondering if there's maybe something I'm missing, technology wise that others wouldn't do without. In my old age, my 4's and 9's seem to be getting very similar!!

I use my Leica Disto A6....It has Bluetooth but do not use that system very much... and a tape for smaller dimensions...

£20 screwfix laser measure for the bigger walls, ceiling heights and over all room dims. 1 of the millions tape measures I have knocking about the car/my bag/my desk.
all onto some some dual graph paper in a Blanco leather look folder.
I sometimes consider taking the laptop and drawing up the room in Articad whilst i'm there - that way I can double check so dims. but so far I never have.
Angle finder is a good idea Daz, I think ill pick one up and add it to the boot.
