Dave - how do you get this bump map though? most of the files I download are a JPEG or image only with no bump map? Do you just use the colour texture?

Jayne, sketchup texture club provides a lot of the bump maps like the example that Joe showed.
If it doesn't i make mine through paint.net where I open the image and change it to black and white and then change the brightness and contrast to suit my map. I add the map in to edit materials and usually set the amplitude at around 0.02, I do this for timber floors as well.

Joe - yes i know you can you do that but then you dont have the contrasting grout, works well sometimes with Karndean tiles though when client doesnt want grout strips.
Dave - I can only find a few floors that include a bump map file on sketchuptexture but i'll take another look!

Would you mind posting the links to the 3 examples you posted above from the sketchuptexture club? Maybe i'm looking in the wrong place..... these are really effective ones!

Jayne, if i want white grout lines then i find an image of the tile with or draw the grout lines in photoshop. Save then invert the image and save as the bump. This is how i do it with photoshop.

Articad floor was set at 1600 x 1600 but i should have changed that to represent the actual tile size. 3 horz x 6 vert = size if that makes sense!
For example If the tile was 300mm x 150mm then my articad floor would be set at 900 x 900
