Graphics smoothing causing black reflections

Charles mentioned in another topic about using a small amount of transparency on taps to remove the black edges. This may work for them but not for certain other graphics like a bevelled front edge of a Neff Hob...
So testing as follows it shows that the internal smoothing of surfaces and even the smoothing of Sketchup models shows what is happening. ArtiCAD please lower the smoothing...thanks
Hob Test 1 - Exported 3D DXF hobs - Reimported as *.skp without any smoothing - NO black reflections:
Hob Test 2 - ArtiCAD models as is showing Black Reflections on the RH sides of the 4 Hobs:
Hob Test 3 - ArtiCAD Models with a small amount of transparency - Graduated Black Reflections to the RH sides of the 4 Hobs:
Hob Test 4 - Imported *.skp hobs after smoothing in Sketchup - Black Reflections to all RH sides of the 4 hobs:
