I've done a few designs on V21 now, and in the whole it seems ok. It can be a little slow at times and it seems to have a problem with some sketchup objects, oh and manual cornice and worktops seem to have a chunk taken out of one corner for some reason, but other than that, it works well.

Here's a couple of images I've done (no post editing as usual) which took under 10 minutes each to produce.

I'm still not convinced the pro's come anywhere near justifying the negatives of V21. Still too slow and a major thing for me is missing cornice/ coving/ plinths etc. when designing which can really ruin the final images.
I do quite like the new material editor, and the rendering speeds do seem to have improved but its still not quite enough to accomodate the extra time spent waiting or fixing issues.

I would still wait a little while before making the jump over to V21, some of the niggles need to be ironed out before it's at the stage where you can use it as efficiently as V20.

To be honest, there's not THAT much difference between the two versions, the only thing that's made real difference is the material editor - once you get the hang of it, keeping track of custom textures you've created is much easier. Once all the supplier textures have been optimized then I'd say it will be even better (I've installed the CRL stone textures and they are all available from a drop down menu which means you don't have to manually add them).

Most of the other tweaks I've come across are aesthetic, such as the appliance selection box being a lot bigger which saves a lot of scrolling!

Also, I might be imagining it, but the render times do seem a little faster.

The missing cornice/plinths etc is a bit of a pain, but it only takes 10 seconds to add a manual one, so this hasn't really bothered me too much. I think it's only been on one design where I've had the issue so far anyhows.
