Drawing room carpet

Hi all, Can anyone direct me as how to draw a decent carpet in a bedroom please, Everything i seem to draw looks terrible. Thanks

What do you mean... the material? or a rug i the room?

Hi Darrel, Just the actual whole carpet in the room. The standard ones included with articad seem as if they were from the 1960's. Trying to make a bedroom look modern with them carpets is near on impossible haha!

I nearly always use a solid colour in the diffuse and get a seamless testure to use as a bump map... then apply the settings as listed HERE

I kind of get you, but you are far far more advanced than i'll ever be. I've gone into the advanced section of the edit material section and changed a couple of things as per your instructions on the link. But not sure what you mean by bump map? thanks

Here are few textures for carpets to play with... just copy them to your confuser...

Like this?....Oh, I can't upload an image says "exceeded user allowed storage (Free space :35)"....Just visit Carpet Right website and save the images of their carpets and use as textures. Some don't work as they are not seamless but most plain ones work.
