traditional frame
Wed Mar 14, 2018 2:06 pm
Easy one for everyone except me. I have drawn my entire kitchen in a flat modern frame but now wish to change it to the traditional. I have been into frame helper and clicked on traditional but when I go back to view the kitchen it isn't showing the beaded frame........... what am I missing please. (other than my beaded frame)

Have you ticked the "Doors Have Frames" in the Room Settings? :

Yes thats ticked. it is showing the flat frame but hasn't changed to the beaded frame. The only thing I havent done is a high render but I thought it should show up before that.

Traditional is not very clear.... Try the Traditional Wide Bead option

No all the frames are showing as a flat modern frame as I had when I started, I now want to show a beaded frame on all the units, so went into utilities, frame helper and clicked traditional but it hasnt changed when I view the units?

Have you used the actual "In-Frame" graphics selection?
If so, this would explain the lack of any bead as these are not driven by the Frame selector.... we have to use standard units for the Traditional options to show..
Edit---- if you have used the in-frame graphics you could zero the frame widths then use as default..

Good thinking. That could be it as I changed all the inner frames to zero and the outer to 38mm as I dont want the frame in between all the double doors.
I have attached the file if that helps

Thanks Darrel. I have changed my frame settings then gone round the double door units removing the centre frame from the style section.

That has led to another problem. I have a rail under a drawerline double door unit which I could do without but can live with but I have a 900 wide glass wall unit which doesnt give me an option to remove the centre frame. AAAARRGGGHH. I'm calm.

Just switch out for a standard drawerline if it looks bad...

Morning Darrel
Sorry I dont understand the switch out bit. I now have the beaded frame on all my units and have managed to change some double door base units but the glazed wall units are a problem as it is not allowing me the option. Everything else is just how I want it.

I must admit I'd be lost without him. Reckon the glazed unit centre frame might be a challenge though

Its ok every one, I've finally sorted it. I changed the glazed wall units for normal wall units as they have the option for no centre frame. then changed the panel to glass. Why the glazed units don't have this option is beyond me.

You are right that they do not offer the frame option without the centre frame for glazed wall unit... "BUTT"
