Hi all,

Can anyone advise me what would be the best way to draw this plan out? Old farm house, lots of thick walls and windows at angles.... am i best just used walls and the rotation tool for the ingos?

going to be a tricky one to render...  

please ignore my scribbly notes....

It should be fine using normal walls and rotations, can't see any issues with it really.

Would be good if you could turn off snaps to certain walls.. horrible when you have nibs and short turns!!

Re: Snaps...

You are probably already aware of this but we can turn off snaps to walls when we select the unit and untick "snap to walls" and "orient to walls" in the right click context menu.

If we hold down the ALT key on the keyboard and move a unit this turns off all snapping...

its a mansion house, client is knocking through 3 internal rooms to create this open planned look, them adding a orangery extension larger than the size of my flat off of it too just for good measure Wink

This came to me which you could find useful when building the plan in ArtiCAD is how I do it in TurboCAD for a more accurate trace method than a scale rule... Especially the tedious ones with loads of nibs, curves and angles...

Setup a new window - Window/New Window then in that View/3D Perspective/Birds-eye view then 3D Options = VR...
