Hi guys,

Been very quiet on forum lately so thought  Iwould post some recent renders. Would be great if any had any recent ones of their own to upload!

These were done on Articad V21, I'm finding the settings and new tree structure for materials a little tricky to master but getting there. Find the lighting is very sensitive compared  to V20.

First two images show 2x different flooring concepts and colour ways - what do you prefer?

Third image is for an en-suite bathroom

They look fantastic Jayne! I know what you mean about the lighting, it can be a bit of a struggle.

I prefer the flooring in the second image, but the colours from the first image (just to be awkward)

Awesome Jayne, the first image is the most impressive but the 2nd is the one i'd recommend to a client. Fantastic work either way!!

Great work Jayne....I like the first design with the second's floor. Here's a recent home office. Still using V20 but build 84 and they've messed up the lighting with that as well!Recent Renders Chiu12

Great work guy's!  Here are a few of my recent articad renders. To be honest i have all but given up on articad. The lighting is really poor as you said Jayne. Switched to Blender. When you see the amount of tweaking you can do to lighting and textures with Blender and now with the realtime render engine Eevee 2 min HQ renders you realise how little you can do and how long it takes in articad.

Some of my recent renders, never completely happy with them but now reached the realisation that we are here to sell them a kitchen not an image.

You should use the sheen calc tool that Daz made a while back. I wouldn't be without it as it makes all the difference!

Thanks for the recommend Mingerz, good to get some feedback and to hear you are finding it useful.... takes out the guesswork. I use it all the time and have been asked to make it work for the Lightworks Render engine that TurboCAD can still use and was what ArtiCAD used to have before RedSDK…(I think you can still turn that on as I remember looking at the config a while ago... for those who feel nostalgic LOL about the good old days)

Jayne, I sent it to most on this forum via the messaging system on here!...

I will email it to you now ;-)

Did you make any tweaks to it post Beta Daz or is it the same as was?

No, exactly the same sir... I am no longer using ArtiCAD so their will be no further automation for it to write the values to its material editor.
Sorry.. :-(

Thanks Mingerz for this... I posted the program link on the TurboCAD forum Beta Group section and not one person has mentioned it... They are still promoting the Lightworks engine that ArtiCAD used to use FFS.... it is nowhere near as good as RedSDK is it LOL!

I think it could be well worth your while developing further, as when people can see what it can do, they would surely line your pockets with a few Shekels!

As I remember with the new ArtiCAD Material Editor automating it was going to be a nightmare due to many of the settings being hidden unless you select them.
There is a bug in it.... certainly with Windows 10 the Save Sheen does not work properly but at least all the parameters work well eh..

How are you finding ArtiCAD at the moment Mingerz… V21 any good?

We've not moved to V21, still on V20 build 95. Can't save a bespoke reflection setting with your calc but that's no biggy. All the automatic input works apart from reflection RGB but that's easy to do manually. I like the Daz leather!...lolRecent Renders Handle10
