V21 help would be appreciated
Sat Feb 09, 2019 7:15 pm
Hello,
I was told about this group by Jayne, thanks for the heads up ! I could really do with some advice as since I have updated to V21 I have struggled massively with the software. It's the only program I have used and have been doing so a long time. I design, supply and fit to customers direct, so I don't have a long time to spend on Articad.
Since the last update I have found it difficult to edit colours for kitchens. If i go to load a PWS colour, it takes me into the door style then there is nothing there. I'm literally having to do colours each item at a time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again,
Kevin

Thanks for the reply Darrell. I’ve ticked that box as it was unticked but I’m still getting this

What build are you working with?
Have you downloaded the "data" file that is separate to the door graphics?
Use your OS file search function to see if it has been put somewhere else on your computer with a search phrase "*Remo*.MaterialSelections"

just to check the basics on what you are doing...
this design > door type > pick manufacturer > pick door range. In v21 these all shown as grey in this menu. You are just picking the style
then you change the colours to suit
Click colours button
In the (new) menu you can click materials at the top of that column and this groups everything of the same material together.
hold control and click, or drag to highlight all the elements to be changed
Once all the door elements, cornice, plinth etc are highlighted click change
this then brings up the material editor - pick your colours for the elements previously highlighted - click ok
you can then change other elements, or, if done click ok.
all done
where is that process does it go wrong for you?

You can also choose the colour in the materials selection GUI by selecting 'Load..' .
Go to /articad/kitchen/plans/PWS (or any other catalogue) and select the colour scheme that you want.
This should help with grain orientation.
