Predefined material settings

Can certain predefined materials that i have for kitchens be duplicated and carried over to the wardrobe and bathroom catalogues?

I would use a lot of the same settings floors, walls etc and and i find that i have to go in and set them up individually.

I'm sure there is an easier way of doing this.

These can be changed in the Config file/s but I just copy and paste the folders into the material folders from say Kitchen to Bedroom and Bathroom..

What is the file that has the materials that i need to copy Daz?

You can do this as per copying the way above... copy and paste from say Kitchen to Bedroom, Bathroom.

I copied the file over to the bedroom folder and turned Articad off and on again and my predefined list doesn't show my materials list.

Did you get a warning about overwriting the user file?? If not you may have not pasted it in the correct location.

It should work as look at the differences between my bedroom and kitchen mat list opened in notepad the aaagreymodel entry is not in the kitchen one.

It must be the wrong location as i didn't overwrite any files.
I copied it in to the bedroom folder, I can't find the previous user file, would that be in a sub folder in the bedroom folder?

Oh... if you did not get a warning it has not gone into the correct folder/place.

From - \Articad\kitchen\user.mat - Copy this file

To - \Articad\Bedroom\user.mat - Paste - should get a warning about overwriting

To - \Articad\Bathroom\user.mat - Paste - should get a warning about overwriting

That's strange Daz as I had done exactly that, the only thing is that there was no user.mat file in the bathroom and bedroom folder.

Oh.... You have not saved any yet then.... go into those room systems and save one to the predefined list ... then this method should work!!
