ITS FRIDAY!! and another week without any update or update on the update..


They rang me a few weeks ago seeing if there was anything they could help me with  and told me V21 would be released last week.. I thankfully wasn't placing any bets on it.
Just a little message saying sorry, but we are still working on it or heres a few funky models to keep you entertained whilst your waiting for the update we promised you almost a year ago would be well received.

Purely out of curiosity and with no intention of jumping the gun, has anyone downloaded, installed and ran the V21 beta?

Yes quite a few of us Pete.  However the updates I believe stopped quite a while ago so its not a true representation of what they aim to deliver.

Thanks Minch, that's saved me a Sunday afternoon! I downloaded it a while ago but didn't want to screw my settings/libraries at work so i was going to load it at home - but now i'll cut the lawn. 

Yes I reckon cutting the lawn may be slightly more therapeutic too ;-)

I was told July 2017 November 2017 Before Christmas Early Part 2018, Before KBB 2018, End of April 2018, then 3 weeks ago.. must have had problems with their email system letting us know of delays

Rant alert!
Almost all my working life I've waited for upgrades on CAD systems. Well, since 1986 anyway. One thing i have come to realise is that the longer the time in development the more likely it is that the resulting release will be a crock of shit that needs rebuilding from the ground up.

I get so tired of beta testing crap that's not fit for purpose. 
I've spent tens of thousands of pounds on half-arsed design programs that promise the world but deliver jack shit without workarounds and tweaks but have to be used because the client's IT department insist it's the only system that integrates. 

For the last year I've been told that every problem i've had will be addressed in v21 (except for the hair loss, natch). 
So I stopped calling because i didn't want to delay it any longer because obviously that was why it wasn't happening although i appreciate the time they were taking to get it right just for me. 

I was ready to jump ship at the KBB show but they convinced me to sign up for another year and i liked the VR package that was going to be ready by end of April that (like a dick) i've also signed a contract for.
I know i'm going to be disappointed.
