Cloud based ArtiCAD Empty Cloud based ArtiCAD

I've heard a rumour that our outfit maybe moving to a cloud based ArtiCAD towards the end of the year. From an operational point of view it would make a lot of sense, as you are not reliant on each and every one, of two hundred designers to download patches. You could imagine the problems an IT department would have, with a variety of builds and this would solve the problem in one fell swoop. My question, perhaps others have an idea as to how this works but would rendering be done by the cloud as well, on ArtiCAD servers? This obviously has implications for upgrading hardware as it may not be required if all the heavy lifting is done at ArtiCAD's end. No doubt if it is coming, many other members on the cusp of hardware upgrades, might be wise to wait?
